1635-T2) was serially diluted and captured by Mouse Anti-Human Thrombospondin‑2 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB16351) coated on a Clear Polystyrene Microplate (Catalog # DY990). Goat Anti-Human Thrombospondin‑2 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF1635) was biotinylated and incubated with the protein captured on the plate. Detection of the standard curve was achieved by incubating Streptavidin-HRP (Catalog # DY998)" class="big_lightbox" target="_blank">
Thrombospondin 2 is an adhesive glycoprotein that mediates cell-to-cell and cell-to-matrix interactions. It can bind to fibrinogen, fibronectin, laminin and type V collagen. This protein has been shown to function as a potent inhibitor of tumor growth and angiogenesis. Studies of the mouse counterpart suggest that this protein may modulate the cell surface properties of mesenchymal cells and be involved in cell adhesion and migration.
