Description
Transforming growth factor-beta inducible early gene 1 (TIEG1) is a member of the 3 zinc-finger family of Kruppel-like transcription factors. It is also known as Kruppel-like factor 10 (KLF10). TIEG1 functions as an inducer or repressor of gene transcription to regulate the actions of estrogen and TGFbeta signaling and influences the processes of proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. Alternative names for TIEG1 include EGR-alpha, EGRA, and TIEG.
