Description
EMSY has been identified as a protein that interacts with BRCA2 and suppresses BRCA2 transactivational activity. EMSY is amplified in some cases of sporadic human breast and ovarian cancer indicating a role in tumorigenesis that is linked to BRCA2 function. EMSY can also associate with HP1beta and BS69 and may be involved in chromatin remodeling.
