DDX25, also known as ATP-dependent RNA helicase DDX25, consists of a 54.7 kDa and a 42 kDa isoform and is involved in regulation of translation and export of mRNA during development of spermatid. The protein has been utilized in current research of diseases and disorders such as pneumonia, malaria, male infertility, and azoospermia. The protein is found in RNA binding pathways in the testis, pituitary, and hypothalamus.
