Enter or select a fluorescent conjugate, protein, or dye to view its excitation and emission spectra. The excitation spectrum is displayed as a dotted line (- - -) whereas the emission spectrum is shown as a solid line (_____) with the area filled in under the curve.
Select lasers and add filters to determine if an instrument configuration will appropriately excite and detect the fluorescent probe of interest. Normalizing the fluorescence emission spectrum to the selected laser is optional.
Add multiple fluorescent probes to determine if they are compatible, i.e. their emission spectra do not significantly overlap with each other.
