ADP ribosylation is a process in which one or more ADP-ribose moieties are added to a protein after translation. Ribosylation is a critical modification due to its role in cell signaling, apoptosis and DNA repair. ADP ribosylation is catalyzed by the enzyme NAD+ which transfer the ADP-ribose group from NAD+ to arginine, glutamic acid or aspartic acid.
