This lyophilized preparation is stable at 2-8 degrees C, but should be kept at -20 degrees C for long term storage, preferably desiccated. Upon reconstitution, the preparation is most stable at -20 to -80 degrees C, and can be stored for one week at 2-8 degrees C. For maximal stability, apportion the reconstituted preparation into working aliquots and store at -20 degrees C to -80 degrees C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Specificity
Protein L binds to human, mouse, rat and pig IgG.
Details of Functionality
Protein L is a genetically engineered protein containing 5 IgG-binding regions of protein L. Cell wall binding region, cell membrane binding region and albumin binding region have been removed from the recombinant Protein L to ensure the maximum specific IgG binding. Protein L binds to human, mouse, rat and pig IgG.

Background

Protein L contains 5 kappa-binding domain. Protein L has the unique ability to bind through kappa light chain interactions without interfering with the antibody's antigen-binding site. This gives Protein L the ability to bind a wider range of Ig classes and subclasses than other antibody-binding proteins.

Limitations

This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Peptides and proteins are guaranteed for 3 months from date of receipt.
