| Description | Protein A is a 42kDa surface protein of the bacterium Staphylococcus aureus, which binds the Fc region of many mammalian IgGs. Its high affinity for immunoglobulins is the reason that it is often used in biochemical research. Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is a metallo-enzyme which has many different isoforms. It utilizes hydrogen peroxide to oxidize both organic and inorganic compounds, and in the presence of the appropriate substrate (e.g. TMB, DAB, ABTS) causes a color change that can be measured spectrophotometrically. Our Protein A conjugates are produced using our Lightning-Link bio-conjugation technology, therefore providing high quality, stable covalent conjugates for use in your application. |
