Background
Ovalbumin is the main protein found in egg white, making up 60-65% of the total protein. Native chicken ovalbumin is a globular monomer with a molecular mass of 45 kDa (1). It is structurally related to both serpins and lipocalins.
Limitations
This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Primary Antibodies are guaranteed for 1 year from date of receipt.

Bacterial lysates (WT or bacteria containing expression plasmid for cytoplasmic cOVA) and chicken ovalbumin (Sigma)
Species

Comments
Results: Ovalbumin positive control works as expected (band at ~45kDa). Bacterial lysates suggest bacteria are unsuccessful in expressing cOVA with the present conditions or antibody is unable to recognize the truncated cOVA (first 45 Amino Acids removed for cOVA). Unfortunately because of the experimental conditions I am not able to determine if the antibody recognizes the truncated cOVA protein.
Anti-OVA was diluted 1:5000 in 5%BSA/TBS-T incubated at 4C ON (16h) w/ mild agitation on shaker washed 3X 10 min w/ TBS-T
Secondary Antibody
Secondary Description
Jackson Immunoresearch anti-mouse HRP
Secondary Concentration
1:10000 with streptavidin and 1:50000 for chemiluminescent visualization of ladder all in 10 mL 5%BSA/TBS-T
Details
Detection Notes
Secondary incubated 1h at RT with rocking. TBS-T used 4X washes 15min each at RT. Blots were visualized on a BioRad ChemiDoc XRS
