Background

MRPL2, also known as 39 S ribosomal protein L2, mitochondrial, is a 33.3 kDa, 305 amino acid protein that is a component of a 39S subunit in mitochondrial ribosomes. Current research is being conducted with the protein and diseases and disorders such as malaria, tuberculosis, and pneumonia. This protein interacts with HIST1H4A-HIST1H4E proteins.
