-
Will you please explain the difference between the two products for me: NBP2-25014 and L037W2. In general what is the difference between Rat Lung Tissue Lysate and Rat Lung Whole Tissue Lysate? Also, I see that there are options for denatured and non-denatured Rat Lung Whole Tissue Lysates - is the first product (Rat Lung Tissue Lysate) denatured?
- These are both whole cell lsysates but there are a few differences between these two products. For one, NBP2-25014 is a Novus Biologicals product. L037W2 is produced by a Taiwanese company called Abnova and we distribute for them. More importantly, NBP2-25014 comes in 1 x SDS sample buffer: 60 mM Tris-Hcl (pH 6.8) 10 mM EDTA 2 % SDS 0.03% Bromophenol Blue 10% glycerol 0.3% Beta-mercaptoethanol as a sample buffer. The 0.3% BME means that this product is reduced and denatured. L037W2 comes in Modified RIPA Lysis Buffer:50 mM Tris-HCl pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl, 1mM EDTA, 1% Triton X-100, 0.1% SDS, 1% Sodium deoxycholate, 1mM PMSF. So it is not reduced or denatured.
