FAQs for IgG F(ab')2 Antibody (NBP1-73640). (Showing 1 - 1 of 1 FAQ).

  1. I have couple of questions for you about your NBP1-73640 antibody. What exactly is this antibody? Is this antibody a Fab2 fragment only? And the data sheet says that Mouse IgG F(ab')2 fragment was used as an immunogen. When using Mouse IgG F(ab')2 fragment as an immunogen what does the antibody recognize versus when using Mouse IgG F(c) fragment as an immunogen? Are there some differences? I would like to have anti-Mouse IgG antibody that is IgG F(ab')2 fragment conjugated with HRP.
    • NBP1-73640 is affinity purified whole rabbit IgG which binds to the F(ab)2 part of mouse IgG. IgG normally is composed of two longer heavy chains with two shorter light chains in a Y shape. The arms of the Y are composed of both heavy and light chains and are the F(ab)2 or Fab fragments. The stem of the Y is the F(C) portion formed from the lower part of the heavy chains.
