Goat anti-Rat IgA Heavy Chain Secondary Antibody Summary

Description
This product was prepared from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography using Rat IgA coupled to agarose beads followed by solid phase adsorption(s) to remove any unwanted reactivities. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Goat Serum, Rat IgA and Rat Serum

Store vial at 4C prior to opening. This product is stable for several weeks at 4C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. For extended storage aliquot contents and freeze at -20C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing.

FAQs for IgA Heavy Chain Antibody (NBP2-60686). (Showing 1 - 1 of 1 FAQ).

  1. One customer would like to know whether our product NBP1-73672 could be used directly as primary antibody to detect rat IgA of IHC Frozen section. As we know this antibody is NBP2-60686 conjugated with Rhodamine, NBP2-60686 is available for IHC-Fr as the datasheet says. The other question is Pre-adsorbed mean as NBP1-73672 is Goat anti-Rat IgA Secondary Antibody [Rhodamine] (Pre-adsorbed).
    • NBP1-73672 is indeed NBP2-60686 conjugated with Rhodamine and both can be used in IHC as secondaries. No testing has been done using this antibody as primary hence we cannot give our guarantee that it will work. My main concern here would be extra background. Pre-adsorbed here means that "Anti-Rat IgA was prepared from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography using Rat IgA coupled to agarose beads followed by solid phase adsorption(s) to remove any unwanted reactivities.   Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Goat Serum, Rat IgA and Rat Serum.  No reaction was observed against Rat IgM or Rat IgG.   Specificity was confirmed by ELISA at less than 1% cross reactivity against other Rat heavy or light chain isotypes".
