Reactivity | HuSpecies Glossary |
Applications | IEP |
Clonality | Polyclonal |
Host | Rabbit |
Conjugate | Unconjugated |
Concentration | LYOPH |
Immunogen | Highly purified normal IgA isolated from pooled human serum and a purified IgA2- . Freund's complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure. |
Specificity | The reactivity of the antiserum is restricted to the Fc part of the IgA molecule. In immunoelectrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion, using various antiserum concentrations against normal human serum and milk, a single precipitin line is obtained which shows a reaction of identity with the precipitin line obtained with purified IgA. No precipitation reaction is obtained with purified IgG, IgM, and IgG/Fab fragments. |
Clonality | Polyclonal |
Host | Rabbit |
Purity | Whole Antiserum |
Storage | Store at 4C. Do not freeze. |
Buffer | Delipidated, heat inactivated, lyophilized, stable whole antiserum |
Preservative | No Preservative |
Concentration | LYOPH |
Purity | Whole Antiserum |
Reconstitution Instructions | Reconstitute the lyophilized antiserum by adding 1 ml sterile distilled water. Dilutions may be prepared by adding phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.2). |
