• Application Notes: We recommend adding 5% BME or other reducing agent to the lysate prior to boiling and loading into a gel.

Packaging, Storage & Formulations

• Storage: Store at -80C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
• Buffer: Standard RIPA buffer including protease and phosphatase inhibitors and 0.1% SDS diluted in 1X Laemmli sample buffer [62.5mM Tris-HCl, pH 6.8, 25% Glycerol, 2% SDS, 0.01% bromophenol blue]. Denaturing agents have not been added.

Background

Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells (HUVEC) plays a key role in a diverse range of physiological and pathophysiological processes. Cultured from the human umbilical cord of newborns, HUVEC cells are reactive to cytokine stimulation in the expression of cell adhesion molecules. These HUVEC cells are used for the investigation of arterial disease and cancer development. Other important HUVEC cell processes include macromolecule transport, blood coagulation, angiogenesis and fibrinolysis.

Limitations

This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Lysates are guaranteed for 6 months from date of receipt.
