| Application Notes |
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For immunofluorescent staining, the suggested use of this reagent is: 0.5 microgram per one million cells in 100 microliter volume. Immunohistochemistry-frozen sections. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application. |
Reactivity Notes
Mouse b and d haplotype, Cross-reacts with H-2Ld. Does not react with other haplotypes (e.g., k, f, p, r, s). Please note that this antibody is reactive to Mouse and derived from the same host, Mouse. Additional Mouse on Mouse blocking steps may be required for IHC and ICC experiments. Alternate Names for H-2Ld/H-2Db Antibody (28-14-8)
Background
The 28-14-8 antibody reacts with the H-2Db MHC class I alloantigen expressed on nucleated cells from mice of the H-2Db haplotype. H-2Db is involved in antigen presentation to T cells expressing CD3/TCR and CD8 proteins. The 28-14-8 antibody has been reported to block antigen-specific lysis of target cells by cytotoxic T lymphocytes. The 28-14-8 antibody cross-reacts with the H-2Ld haplotype.

Can this antibody be used to detect mouse beta2 microglobulin on H2Kb?
- Our H-2Ld/H-2Db Antibody (28-14-8) (catalog number NB100-77576) is made to the mouse protein (accession number P01887). So yes, it will detect mouse Beta-2-microglobulin. Please note the specificity we have on our datasheet states that the antibody will detect mouse b and d haplotype, Cross-reacts with H-2Ld. Does not react with other haplotypes (e.g., k, f, p, r, s).
