Immunogen | Bartonella henselae |
Specificity | This identifies Bartonella henselae. Cross-reactivity tests were performed on B. henselae, B. quintana, B. bacilliformis, B. elizabethae, B. grahamii, B. taylorii, B. doshiae, and B. vinsonii strains. Reactivity was only obtained with Bartonella henselae. |

Application Notes | IHC: For an ABC system, incubate for 30-60 minutes at RT. For formalin fixed paraffin embedded sections, perform heat mediated antigen retrieval before commencing with IHC. Bartonella henselae is a very small rod-shaped bacteria and is much easier to identify these under the microscope by using a red chromogen such as AEC. A magnification of 100 X (oil) is recommended for positive identification. Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence was reported in scientific literature. |
