| Description |
The AbSelect™ Rat TCS Antibody Purification System enables the selective purification of rat IgG from hybridoma supernatants without the co-purification of bovine IgG. This is because AbSelect™ Rat resin has a high affinity and specificity for rat IgG molecules whereas the binding strength of bovine IgG to AbSelect™ Rat resin is negligible. In comparison, Protein G does not have the capability to selectively purify rat IgG from hybridoma supernatants.
The method of AbSelect™ Rat TCS Antibody Purification System involves capture of the antibody on the AbSelect™ Rat resin and the removal of unwanted substances using a simple wash procedure. The purified antibody is then eluted and neutralized. AbSelect™ Rat TCS Antibody Purification System is not suitable for use with antibodies from other species.
The components of all AbSelect™ kits are fully compatible with the Lightning-Link® and Lightning-Link® antibody labeling systems (available separately), which allow the purified antibody to be rapidly conjugated to a wide variety of labels. |
