Fanconi Anemia Products

Description

Fanconi anemia (FA) is a genetic disease that results from a defect in a group of proteins responsible for DNA repair. As the defect occurs in proteins responsible for DNA repair, many patients develop cancer as a symptom. FA results in decreased production of all types of blood cells. The disease is named after Swiss pediatrician Guido Fanconi who originally described the disorder.
