Cervical Dysplasia is a precancerous condition in which there is abnormal growth on the uterine cervix. Most often, it affects women who are in their mid-twenties and thirties. Cervical Dysplasia is associated with Human Papillomavirus. There are two types of Cervical Dysplasia: low grade or high grade. High grade Cervical Dysplasia has a high risk of becoming Cervical Cancer. Cervical Dysplasia is often diagnosed after a Pap test, and surgical removal of the abnormal growth is a common treatment method of Cervical Dysplasia.
