PSF3, also known as DNA replication complex GINS protein PSF3, has a 138 amino acid long isoform that is 25 kDa and a short 138 amino acid that is approx. 16 kDa, is located in the nucleus and plays an essential role in the initiation of DNA replication, and progression of DNA replication forks. Studies on this protein have shown a relationship with colon cancer and long QT syndrome. This protein has been studied in DNA replication where it interacts with PSMA4, WDHD1, PSMA6 and MCM6.
