Protein Rev Products

Description

Protein Rev is a phosphoprotein whose state of phosphorylation is mediated by a specific serine kinase activity present in the nucleus. It is phosphorylated at separate regions by protein kinase CK2 and MAPK. Phosphorylation by CK2 could play a role in Rev down-regulation. Rev appears to act post-transcriptionally to relieve negative repression of Gag and Env production.Protein Rev appears to act post-transcriptionally to relieve negative repression of Gag and Env production.
