Description
OR4K1, also known as Olfactory receptor 4K1, is a 35.2 kDa, 311 amino acid protein that is involved in reception of odorant molecules in the nose as a member of the largest gene family in the genome. The protein is currently being researched for its effects on neuronitis. The protein interacts with OR4K14, OR4K2, OR52E6, OR4K5, and OR4K13 in olfactory transduction and GPCR downstream signaling pathways.
