OR3A1, also known as Olfactory receptor 3A1, is a 34.6 kDa, 315 amino acid protein that interacts with odor molecules and launches a response to stimulate the perception of smell. Current research is being conducted to determine the link between the protein and diseases such as neuronitis. The protein interacts in GPCR downstream signaling, olfactory transduction, and signal transduction pathways with other proteins including OR52E6, OR10K2, GNAL, OR10R2, and MPDZ.
