Description

OR2S2, also known as Olfactory receptor 2S2, is a 35.2 kDa, 319 amino acid protein that is involved in odor reception in the nose as a member of the G-protein-coupled receptors. Current research is determining the effect of the protein on diseases such as neuronitis. The protein interacts with OR1D2, OR10J1, OR52E6, and GNAL proteins in olfactory transduction and GPCR downstream signaling pathways.
