Description
OR2B2, also known as Olfactory receptor 2B2, is a 40.4 kDa, 357 amino acid protein that is involved in stimulating the perception of smell by receiving and sending olfactory signals. Diseases and disorders such as nephrolithiasis, irritable bowel syndrome, and neuronitis are currently being studied with the protein. The protein interacts with OR10T2, OR10K1, OR10J1, OR10H2, and OR52E6 in olfactory transduction and GPCR downstream signaling pathways.
