Description
OR1N1, also known as Olfactory receptor 1N1, is a 34.7 kDa, 311 amino acid protein that is involved in recognizing odor molecules and transmitting neuronal responses in order for the brain to perceive smell. Current research is investigating the link between the protein and diseases such as neuronitis. The protein interacts with GNAL, OR10A3, OR1J1, OR52E6, and GNGT1 in signal transduction pathways.
