Description
OR1J4, also known as Olfactory receptor 1J4, is a 35 kDa, 313 amino acid protein that is involved in the reception of odors in order to initiate the perception of smell. Current research is being conducted to determine the protein's effect on diseases such as neuronitis. The protein interacts in olfactory and GPCR signal transduction pathways with OR4F15, OR2AT4, OR52E6, OR2C3, and OR10A3.
