Description

Belonging to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family, olfactory receptor 10G3 (OR10G3) is integral to the membrane. Sharing a 7-transmembrane domain structure with neurotransmitter and hormone receptors, these olfactory receptors recognize the G protein-mediated transduction of odorant signals in the nose. More specifically, these olfactory receptors initiate a neuronal response that triggers the perception of a smell. OR10G3 is known to react with OR52E6, OR1A1, OR1A2, OR2W3 and OR4E2.
