Description

The gene encoding NBR 2 was identified by its close proximity on chromosome 17 to tumor suppressor gene BRCA1. The head to head location of this gene and BRCA1 suggested that both genes may be coordinated through a bi-directional promoter. The specific function of this gene has not yet been determined.
