Arl9 (ARL9 in humans) is a Ras-like small GTP-binding protein. It is one of the Arls (Arf-like proteins), a diverse group that is part of the Arf family (together with the Arfs and the SARs). The members of the Arf family are grouped together due to some sequence/structural similarity.
