Antibodies for Neuroimmunology

Neuroinflammation and neuroimmune responses have been associated with a host of prevalent neurological diseases. Studies have shown changes in cytokines, lymphocytes, and some epigenetic mechanisms affect CNS processes and can be associated with reduced cognitive abilities and diseases including Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and Multiple Sclerosis. Research in the field of MS is being done on inflammatory immune-mediated demyelination, the primary targets of this humoral immune response...

New OATP1B3 Antibodies

OATP1B3 is in the organic anion transporter family of transmembrane polypeptides. It is associated with the transport of numerous small molecules and has been the focus of drug-drug interaction (DDI) studies. Aberrant expression has also been associated with prostate and testicular cancer.

Novus Biologicals offers high quality, validated monoclonal antibodies for OATP1B3 in a variety of pre-conjugated formats.

New BST2 Monoclonal Antibodies

BST2 is expressed on the surface of fibroblast cell lines as well as plasma cells and dendritic cells. It may play a role in B-cell growth as well as rheumatoid arthritis. Recent studies have identified BST2 as an inhibitor of retroviral release from human cells whose activity is antagonized by the HIV-1 accessory protein Vpu. While BST2 caused retention of virions on cell surfaces or endocytosis into BST2-positive compartments, its depletion abolished the viral requirement for Vpu for virus release. This activity may represent a potential therapeutic strategy for the treatment of HIV/AIDS.
