Applications/Dilutions

Dilutions
  • ELISA 1:100-1:2000
  • Immunohistochemistry 1:10-1:500
  • Immunoprecipitation 1:10-1:500
  • Western Blot 1:100-1:2000
Application Notes
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For immunofluorescent staining, the suggested use of this reagent is: 0.5 microgram per one million cells in 100 microliter volume. The purified 5D3-F7 has been tested by blocking fluorochrome conjugated 5D3-F7 for intracellular cytokine staining. In order to obtain complete blocking results, a saturated amount of purified antibody ( le 5.0 ug/million cells) should be used for incubation with target cells, prior to staining with fluorochrome conjugated antibody. Immunohistochemistry-frozen/paraffin. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.

Background

Monocyte chemotactic protein-1 (MCP-1) also known as monocyte chemotactic and activating factor (MCAF) was identified based on its ability to chemoattract monocytes. Subsequently, MCP-1 has also been found to regulate adhesion molecule expression and cytokine production in monocytes. MCP-1 is identical to the product of the JE gene, a PDGF inducible gene. MCP-1 is a member of the beta (C-C) chemokine subfamily, known as CCL2. The 5D3-F7 antibody reacts with human monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1).

FAQs for CCL2/MCP1 Antibody (NB100-78159). (Showing 1 - 1 of 1 FAQ).

  1. I was looking for MCP1 antibody (5D3-F7) which has catalog number NB100-78159. I have surveyed few manuscript which mention the clone number (5D3-F7) but neither the company's name or the catalog number. I would like to whether all those reference indicate your product NB100-78159? We definitely want to purchase that antibody but make sure that is the right antibody.
    • I do not know whether those manuscripts mention our product because I am not familiar with those references. However, if it cites the same clone number for a particular target, it is more than likely the same antibody.

MCP-1 - chemoattractant protein involed in monocyte migration and infiltration
