Aaron X. Mikulich - Web Designer
Aaron has a BFA from Colorado State University and has been designing websites and UI for custom software applications for over 16 years. He spends his free time with his wife and two kids as well as collecting vinyl records, riding his vintage Vespa, and drawing.
Adam Yacko - Systems Administrator
Adam has a BS in Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Denver. Prior to joining Novus, Adam worked as a Help Desk analyst in the real estate industry where he worked his way up into a Systems Administrator position. In his spare time, Adam enjoys traveling with his wife, watching movies, reading and completing projects around the house.
Amelia Zommer - Research Assistant
Amelia is a University of Denver alum, obtaining a BS in Biological Sciences with minors in Psychology and Chemistry in 2009, as well as a MS in Developmental Biology in 2011. Aside from molecular biology research, Amelia is also passionate about conservation biology and species preservation. Outside of lab she enjoys volunteering at the Denver Zoo, practicing yoga, snowboarding, baking, and spending time outside.
Andrew Cosgrove - Scientific Technical Support Specialist
Andrew was born and raised outside of Detroit, Michigan and earned his B.S. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan and his M.S. in Microbiology and Immunology from Loyola University Chicago. He spent two years as a flow cytometry technician in Boston between schooling. In his free time, Andrew enjoys snowboarding, skiing, playing soccer and baseball and spending time with his pet rat, Ratty Mayonnaise.
April Johnson - Web Developer
April is a proud 2nd generation IT nerd, having succeeded her mom - a retired programmer and captain in the Air Force. Coming from a nonprofit ministry, she is excited once again to be part of an organization that is clearly making a positive impact to the global community in a dynamic way. She is finishing her degree in business information systems, a devout Pittsburgh Steelers fan and distributes the remainder of her time supporting her husband and four beautiful children that range in age from toddler to college-age.
Bill Merritt - Technical Sales Specialist
Bill graduated from Santa Clara University in 2010 with a BS in Bioengineering. He also enjoys spending time in the mountains during the winter skiing and telemark skiing. He likes rooting for all Denver sports teams, watching movies, listening to music, mountain biking, and traveling; as well as long strolls on the beach at sunset.
Braden Waddle - Data Integrity Specialist
Braden has a B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of Northern Colorado. Prior to joining Novus, he was a Quality Assurance Technician for a company that manufactures electrical wire. In his free time he enjoys hanging out with friends and family, playing poker, pool and basketball, as well as listening to music and reading. He also likes to watch movies and is a huge sports fan, especially football and basketball (March Madness is the best time of year!). His favorite teams are the Denver Broncos and Denver Nuggets.
Brandon Kelton - Lead Internal Software Engineer
Brandon Kelton has extensive experience in database and application development and technical support. Prior to Novus, he worked for medical hardware and software supplier McKesson where he designed and developed a training, risk, and quality management application now used throughout the company. He is currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science. Outside of work he enjoys going out with friends, watching the new Battlestar Galactica, spending time with family, going to movies, and playing with his dogs.
Cade Bertrand - Strategic Relationship Management Associate
Cade is a CU Boulder Alumni with a degree in biochemistry and molecular/cellular biology. Prior to coming on board here at Novus, he spent 3 years with an environmental lab in Boulder, an environmental remediation firm in Golden and a hazardous waste firm in Denver. He has a passion for home brewing, skiing, mountain biking, and all things sustainable.
Candace Sotwick - Director of Marketing
Candace brings to Novus over 25 years of sales and marketing experience in the Lifescience and biotech industry. She has a degree in Medical Technology from Harper College and a BA in Business from Northeastern Illinois University. In her spare time Candace enjoys spending time with her family and playing tennis, hiking, swimming and just being in the beautiful Colorado out of doors.
Carly Hammond - Technical Support Specialist (Novus Europe)
Carly graduated in 2010 with a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of East Anglia (UEA), achieving the exceptional grade of Starred First Class Honours. After initially working in the lab, she was given the opportunity to participate in technical support, and discovered it to be a role well suited to her; she loves the combination of scientific theory and communication. She is a contributor to the Novus blog. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with friends, meals out, going to the cinema, and keeping up-to-date with science news.
Celina McDuffee - Office Administrator (Novus Canada)
Celina was born and raised in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. She has been an Administrative Assistant for over 7 years in the legal industry and holds a diploma in Travel/Tourism. Celina brings with her a vast knowledge of office administration and event planning. On her days off, Celina enjoys spending time with her family traveling, camping, fishing and geocaching. Celina also has a love for music, movies and making monster toys from her home.
Chandra Gottschling - Product Director
Chandra has a BS in Biology with a Minor in Economics from the University of New Mexico. She has been with Novus since 2005 working as a Research Associate, Project Manager and Product Director. Chandra enjoys reading, snowboarding, camping, and spending time with her family.
Chris Hutton - Systems Administrator
Chris is from Laramie, Wyoming where he worked for the University of Wyoming as a Computer Support Specialist. He specialized in Desktop Support and worked on the the Databases. In his free time, he enjoys tinkering with his car and drag racing at Bandimere. He also enjoys hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities. He is also a Bronco and Avalanche fan.
Corey Collins - Marketing Assistant
Corey graduated in 2011 from Metropolitan State College of Denver with a BS of Business Administration in Marketing. Corey played college baseball and is an avid sports fan. Off the field and in his spare time Corey enjoys the outdoors and loves spending time with family and friends.
Daniella Riley - Customer Services Assistant (Novus Europe)
Daniella graduated from Sussex University (UK) in July 2011 with a BSc in Psychology and has developed a love of neuroscience. Her interests outside of work/academia are playing the clarinet, karate, kickboxing, traveling, and spending time with friends at her village pub!

David has six years experience in the shipping/receiving industry. In his free time he enjoys all things outdoors, softball, soccer, golf and pretty much anything that keeps him active.

Debbie has been working within accounts for the past 25 years. The main core of her career was spent with a company in London spanning 18 years. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children walking, bike rides and going to the cinema.
Emily Jimmerson - Software Engineer
Emily holds a degree in computer science with minors in biology and anthropology. Prior to joining Novus, she worked in the financial services industry as a software engineer, but she has always loved biology. The move to Novus combines the best of both fields, and biotech has been a great fit. Emily enjoys spending time with her dog, singing, taekwondo, kick boxing and skydiving.
Gary Mack - Laboratory Manager
Gary has a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Calgary. Prior to joining the Novus team Gary worked in protein diagnostics in Boulder and in biological product production in Denver. When not in the lab, Gary can be found soaking up the Colorado sunshine.
Geoff Loadman - Accounting Manager
Geoff was born in London, England. He graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a Bachelors in Accounting and Finance. Geoff lived in the Cayman Islands for 2.5 years, before moving to the US in 2008. Outside of work, Geoff enjoys all sports and everything else Colorado has to offer.
Hamna Chaudhry - UK Business Development Manager (Novus Europe)
Hamna graduated in 2010 with a degree in Biology from Queen Mary University of London. In her spare time she likes to be out and about with family and friends, in particular going to different restaurants, walking along the beach and generally being outdoors. She also enjoys going to the gym, photography and exploring new places.
James Gaffney - Laboratory Technician
James has a B.A. from the University of Colorado in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. In his free time he enjoys climbing, running, backpacking, and fly fishing.
Janet Whiting - Purchasing Specialist
Janet is currently working toward receiving her Bachelors in Business Administration with a minor in marketing from Regis University. Janet also works part-time as a realtor. Previously, she worked for a graphics company in Fort Collins, CO. She likes to spend her free time with friends and family, hiking with her dog, snowboarding, and traveling.
Jill Jenkins - Research Associate
Jill received a BS in Biology with a minor in Molecular Biology from New Mexico State University. Prior to coming to Novus, she worked in customer service, but always had a love of science. In her spare time she likes to play tennis, hike, listen to live music, read a good book or play with her dog Shay and cat Finnegan.
Joanna Szulimowski - Technical Customer Service Specialist (Novus Canada)
Joanna has an MSc in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Western Ontario. After graduate school she moved to the US and worked as a research scientist at Rutgers University for several years. She is excited to be back in Canada and working at Novus. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, doing anything outdoors and traveling.
Julie Nishida - Accountant I
Julie has a BS in Business Administration and a minor in Spanish from Colorado State University. She joined the staff at Novus Biologicals in 2008. In her spare time she enjoys reading, spending time with her husband, three kids, and two dogs, and loves traveling.
Katie Harbison - Customer Service Representative
Katie has a BA in Psychology with a minor in Biology from the University of Denver. Prior to joining Novus, Katie worked in the physical therapy and teaching fields. In her free time she enjoys running, reading and other outdoor activities.

Kendra joined the Novus team in 2001. Kendra has attended courses at Arapahoe Community College in pursuit of her accounting degree. She worked in early childhood education before joining Novus. Kim Mesman - Marketing Manager/Graphic Design
Kim holds a BFA in Graphic Design and a Minor in Business Management from Louisiana Tech University. Prior to joining Novus in 2005, Kim was a freelancer and designer for various companies in the U.S. Born and raised in the south, she is a die hard New Orleans Saint/LSU fan and loves anything outdoors, sports, traveling, beaches, vintage shopping, transforming old furniture, pomeranians, fleur de lis, happy hours and pretty much any creative hobby available.
Laurence Lamarcq - European Business Development and Marketing Manager (Novus Europe)
Laurence holds a Ph.D. in Medical and Biological Engineering from the University Joseph Fourier, Grenoble in France as well as a BSc and MSc in Cell and Molecular Biology from the same University. She completed 2 post-doctoral studies in the USA, at the University of Hawaii and at the University of California San Francisco. She worked for Clontech (TakaraBio) as an R&D Scientist in the Genomics and Cell Biology teams and as a Product Manager both in Mountain View, California and later in Paris, France. She also worked as a Technical Support Specialist for Ambion in Cambridge, UK and as a Key Account Manager for Roche Diagnostics. She loves traveling, outdoor activities with her 9 year old son and riding her YZF 600 Thundercat motorbike.
Lena Auerbach - Customer Service Advisor (Novus Europe)
Lena was born and raised just outside the Danish capital of Copenhagen. Upon meeting her British better half she decided to move to the UK in August 2008. She has held a variety of administrative and customer service positions across a wide range of industry sectors. She has just recently started her career with Novus, joining the Cambridge team in August 2012. Outside of work Lena enjoys reading, baking, traveling and going back to visit family and friends in Denmark.
Lindsey Buffy - Project Accountant
Lindsey started her career in Accounting with Novus Biologicals. Previous to starting at Novus in 2007, she was working for Arapahoe county Probations as a Case Aid. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her kids, traveling, and trying out new restaurants.

Rachel Giesler - Director of Customer and Technical Service
Rachel has a BA from the University of Colorado at Boulder in Biochemistry and Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. She joined Novus in 2008 as an intern while completing her MBA at the University of Denver. Following graduation she joined the Novus team full-time. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Subhash Gangar - Antibody Development Associate
Subhash received a PhD in Biomedical Sciences with focus on Experimental Cancer Biology from Panjab University Chandigarh (India) and then he did post-doctoral training at Anschutz Medical Campus, University of Colorado Denver. Besides attending professional development programs, in his free time, he enjoys reading, movies/documentaries and outdoor activities with his beloved wife as well as his one year old princess Sashi.
Terri Howard - Order Entry Clerk
Prior to Novus, Terri worked in a Veterinary office for 8 years and intermittently in Customer Service/data entry for 14 years.
