Application Notes
This VEGF Receptor 2 antibody is useful for Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence and Western blot, where a doublet is seen at ~150 kDa with CSF-1R/VEGFR2 chimera transfected lysates representing VEGFR-2. A non-specific band is also seen at ~85 kDa. In ICC/IF punctate membrane staining was observed in Hela cells. The observed molecular weight of the protein may vary from the listed predicted molecular weight due to post translational modifications, post translation cleavages, relative charges, and other experimental factors. Use in FLOW cytometry reported in scientific literature (PMID 27832737)

Background

Receptors for VEGF, VEGFB and PGF have a tyrosine-protein kinase activity. The VEGF-kinase ligand/receptor signaling system plays a key role in vascular development and regulation of vascular permeability. VEGF and its high-affinity binding receptors, the tyrosine kinases FLK1 and FLT1, are thought to be important for the development of embryonic vasculature. It has been shown that an alternately spliced form of FLT1 produces a soluble protein, termed sFLT1, which binds vascular endothelial growth factor with high affinity, playing an inhibitory role in angiogenesis.

As for this antibody, you can suggest our rabbit-IgG isotype control, however this product is un-conjugated but if you are interested in purchasing it, we can provide the conjugated control as well. We are considering NB810-56910, but this product is not conjugated to DyLight 488, as is NB100-2382G. Are there any Rabbit IgG isotype controls that are conjugated to DyLight 488?
