Background

The Avas12a1 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse Flk-1, also known as vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2). Flk-1 is a receptor tyrosine kinase involved in vascular endothelial tissue development and is expressed on endothelial cells during embryonic stages and some endothelial tissues in the adult.

  1. One customer who bought the VEGF Receptor 2 Antibody (catalog # NBP1-43543) wants to purchase the corresponding antigen.
    • I have pulled up information for this product and unfortunately we do not have the blocking peptide available for purchase. If the customer would like help tracking down positive controls and I can help you out with that! NB100-2382 does have a blocking peptide available however if your customer was more interested in that one as a result. The peptide catalog number is NB100-2382PEP.
  2. It is reported that the NBP1-43543 antibody worked well. Now the customer needs to use the corresponding antigen to continue her research, but Novus does not have the blocking peptide to recommend to her. Would you please provide the detailed sequence of the antibody to help the customer purchasing it from other company? More detailed information is welcomed.
    • We do not have a blocking peptide for this antibody. It was made against murine FLK1, and as we do not epitope map our antibodies, we do not know where the antibody binds the protein, and are unable to synthesize a blocking peptide.
