Alternate Names for SOX13 Antibody (2559A) [Unconjugated]
Background
SOX-13 is a transcription factor involved in the embryonic
development and the determination of cell fate.
It is also known as islet cell antibody 12 since it has been determined
to be a type-1 diabetes autoantigen.
SOX-13 RNA is detected in most human tissues with highest levels in the
pancreas, placenta, and kidney.
Immunohistochemistry on human pancreas identifies SOX-13 in the islets
of Langerhans where staining is mostly cytoplasmic but can also be nuclear.
SOX-13 antibody testing helps identify latent autoimmune diabetes of adults
(LADA).
Limitations
This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Primary Antibodies are
guaranteed for 1 year from date of receipt.
