50 mM Tris-HCl, 10 mM reduced Glutathione, pH 8.0 in the elution buffer.
This protein is not active and should not be used for experiments requiring activity. This product may contain endotoxins and is not suitable for use with live cells.
109 kDa. Disclaimer note: The observed molecular weight of the protein may vary from the listed predicted molecular weight due to post translational modifications, post translation cleavages, relative charges, and other experimental factors.
FAQs for SATB2 Recombinant Protein (H00023314-P01). (Showing 1 - 1 of 1 FAQ).
I'm contemplating the purchase of this recombinant protein to use it for an in vitro cleavage assay. I would like to know if the protein is Full-Length or missing a fragment (it is supposed to be approximately 82kDa in size) your image shows a proper band size for the FL-SATB2 with the added GST, so it's encouraging. Would you know if this protein is suitable for a simple caspase cleavage assay?
The protein is raised against the following accession number and sequence. With the 26 kDa GST tag it looks to be full length. Human SATB2 full-length ORF (NP_056080.1, 1 a.a. - 733 a.a.) recombinant protein with GST-tag at N-terminal. Keep in mind that we can only guarantee its performance in the validated applications stated on the datasheet. This is a recombinant protein that we simply distribute for a Taiwanese company called Abnova. The way they synthesize their proteins is in a cell free wheat germ system, which doesn't always allow the protein to undergo the same post translational modifications and folding as an endogenous protein. As such they are mainly intended as positive controls and not deemed active.
