LD78 beta Antibody Summary
Peptide with sequence C-EWVQKYVSDLELSA corresponding to C-Terminus according to NP_002974.1, NP_066286.1.
Please note this product is expected to recognize the products of 2 different genes which are almost identical.
Immunogen affinity purified

- Peptide ELISA Detection limit 1:32000
WB: Preliminary experiments gave bands at approx. 26+28 kDa band (doublet) and 40 kDa band in human bone marrow and spleen lysates after 0.1 ug/ml antibody staining. The 26+28 kDa band doublet was also found in human lymph node and in tonsil lysates. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the bands we observe given the calculated size of 10.2 kDa band according to NP_066286.1. The detected bands were successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide (and BLAST results with the immunizing peptide sequence did not identify any other proteins to explain these bands).

Macrophage inflammatory protein-1 is a so-called monokine that is involved in the acute inflammatory state in the recruitment and activation of polymorphonuclear leukocytes (Wolpe et al., 1988). Sherry et al. (1988) demonstrated 2 protein components of MIP1, called by them alpha and beta.
