|Details of Functionality
IL20 Protein is fully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED50 as determined by a cell proliferation assay using human IL-20R alpha and human IL-20R beta co-transfected murine BaF3 pro-B cells is less than 0.5 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of > 2.0 x 10^6 IU/mg.
| Protein/Peptide Type
>95% pure by SDS-PAGE
Less than 1 EU/ug of endotoxin as determined by LAL method.
Disclaimer note: The observed molecular weight of the protein may vary from the listed predicted molecular weight due to post translational modifications, post translation cleavages, relative charges, and other experimental factors.
Packaging, Storage & Formulations
Store at -20C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered concentrated solution in PBS, pH 7.2, with trehalose.
>95% pure by SDS-PAGE
Reconstitute with sterilized distilled water or 0.1% BSA aqueous buffer to a final concentration of 0.1 - 1.0 mg/ml.
This lyophilized preparation is stable at 2-8 degrees C, but should be kept at -20 degrees C for long term storage, preferably desiccated. Upon reconstitution, the preparation is most stable at -20 to -80 degrees C, and can be stored for one week at 2-8 degrees C. For maximal stability, apportion the reconstituted preparation into working aliquots and store at -20 degrees C to -80 degrees C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Alternate Names for Recombinant Human IL-20 Protein
- Cytokine Zcyto10
- IL-20ZCYTO10four alpha helix cytokine
- interleukin 20
Human Interleukin-20 (IL-20) is encoded by the IL20 gene located on the chromosome 1 and belongs to the IL-10 family that including IL-10, IL-19, IL-22, IL-24, and IL-26. It is secreted by activated keratinocytes and monocytes, and signals through two distinct cell-surface receptor complexes on keratinocytes and other epithelial cells. IL-20 has functions of regulating proliferation and differentiation of keratinocytes during inflammation, and causing cell expansion of multipotential hematopoietic progenitor cells.
