FGF basic/FGF2 Biologically Active Protein Summary
A biologically active protein corresponding to FGF2.
Produced in the endosperm tissue of barley grain (Hordeum vulgare), that exhibits up to 50 times less protease activity than E.coli or mammalian cells. Barley seed is void of any human or animal viral contaminants that could jeopardize your cell culture.
|Details of Functionality
Bioactivity of NovActive recombinant human FGF-basic 146 is assayed by measuring its dose dependent effect on proliferation of 3T3 cells. The ED50 for this effect using FGFb 146 is typically < 0.2 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity > 5 x10e6 U/mg.
Endotoxin level is less than 0.005ng per ug (0.05EU/ug) as measured by turbidimetric kinetic assay
Packaging, Storage & Formulations
Store at -80C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Sterile filtered through a 0.2 um filter.PBS, pH 7.2.
Reconstitute with deionized water.
Human Recombinant protein
FGF basic from Novus Biologicals is now available for stem cell research. Novus uses a revolutionary technology to produce growth factors and cytokines to the highest purity. Furthermore our unique technology enables us to offer high quality FGF basic at lower prices than the market leaders. Purity is greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE gel analysis.
Functional: FGF-2 Protein [NBP2-13181] - We have tested the recombinant FGFb NBP2-13181 and found it to be very active and exactly as good as R&D Systems' FGFb in our bioassay.
This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Peptides and proteins are guaranteed
