Background

Calbindin D-28K is a calcium binding protein belonging to the troponin C superfamily. Calbindin is expressed in neural tissues. It plays an essential role in calcium regulation (including calcium transport and uptake, calcification of bone and teeth) and calcium related signalling in neurons and transiently in embryological development. This calbindin also has a role in protecting neurons from apoptotic cell death. Disregulation of this calbindin protein relates to epilepsy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Huntington's disease. Recombinant human Calbindin D-28K was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

FAQs for Calbindin D-28K Protein (NBP1-30222). (Showing 1 - 1 of 1 FAQ).

  1. I am doing research on Neuroscience and I would like to use some antibodies, especially in Western Blots, but I could do other assays: - alpha7 nicotinic cholinergic receptor; - parvalbumin; - calbindin D28K; The preferred reactivity is anti-human and anti-mouse. Do you have these antibodies? Are they in stock? And what about the prizes: How much are they? How much are the shipping costs? Could you make me any offer?
