Atrazine is a triazine herbicide widely used for control of broadleaf and grassy weeds, especially in corn, cotton and sugarcane fields. It kills most plants by blocking the electron transport chain in their chloroplasts.

  1. Is it possible to know how refractive index varies into an aqueous medium in agreement with the concentration of the antibody? I'm making a project about a sensor for atrazine based on a competitive assay, so I need to know how refractive index varies according to concentration of the antibody but at 1.55.
    • When this specific antibody was last produced procedure for determining the antibody concentration was to measure optical density at 280 nm, and we use the extinction coefficient for immunoglobulins of 1.35 (refractive index). In the light of what you are planning to do, we unfortunately do not have any data on refractive index at 1.55 um.
