Human Angiopoietin-1 Biologically Active Protein Summary
A biologically active protein to ANGPT1.Source: E. coli
Lyophilized from 0.2 mm filtered concentrated solution in 50 mM Tris-Citrate, pH 6.5, 500 mM NaCl.
|Details of Functionality
The ED50, as determined by inhibiting serum deprivation induced apoptosis in HUVEC, is less than 50 ng/ml in the presence of a Mouse Anti-polyHistidine Monoclonal Antibody.
Less than 1 EU/ug of the rHuAng-1 as determined by LAL method.
Packaging, Storage & Formulations
Store at 4C short term. Aliquot and store at -20C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Centrifuge prior to opening. Reconstitute with sterilized PBS or aqueous buffer to a final concentration of 0.1 mg/ml. Stock solutions should be apportioned into working aliquots and stored
This lyophilized preparation is stable at 2-8 degrees C, but should be kept at -20 degrees C for long term storage, preferably desiccated. Upon reconstitution, the preparation is most stable at -20 to -80 degrees C, and can be stored for one week at 2-8 degrees C. For maximal stability, apportion the reconstituted preparation into working aliquots and store at -20 degrees C to -80 degrees C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Alternate Names for Human Angiopoietin-1 Biologically Active Protein
- angiopoietin 1
Angiopoietin-1 (Ang-1) is a secreted protein that plays a critical role in embryogenic angiogenesis and in maintaining the integrity of the adult vasculature. Ang-1 activates Tie-2 signaling on endothelial cells to promote chemotaxis, cell survival, cell sprouting, vessel growth and stabilization. Ang-1 is expressed widely in the mouse embryo and in adult human tissues, primarily by endothelial support cells, megakaryocytes, and platelets. Human Ang-1 shares 97% aa sequence identity with mouse Ang-1.
