Alternate Names for ALK/CD246 Antibody
ALK tyrosine kinase receptor
anaplastic lymphoma kinase (Ki-1)
Anaplastic lymphoma kinase
anaplastic lymphoma receptor tyrosine kinase
Anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) was originally discovered as a NPM (Nucleophosmin)-ALK fusion protein. ALK and LTK (leukocyte tyrosine kinase) are receptor tyrosine kinases similar to the insulin receptor subfamily of kinases. LTK is found in murine B Lymphocyte precursors and in forebrain neurons. ALK is usually found in the nervous system. A truncated form of ALK occurs in many non Hodgkin's lymphomas. The ALK gene is on chromosome 2. Upon translocation between chromosome 2 and chromosome 5 [t(2;5}], the ALK gene fuses with the NPM gene. NPM, also known as B23, is an ubiquitous nucleolar phosphoprotein involved in the transport of pre ribosomal components between the nucleolus and the cytoplasm. The chimeric product (NPM ALK) resulting from t(2;5) translocation is a protein of 80kDa with the N terminal portion of NPM linked to the complete intracellular portion of ALK. Karpas 299 and SUDHL1 lymphoid cell lines strongly express NPM ALK.

FAQs for ALK/CD246 Antibody (25630002). (Showing 1 - 1 of 1 FAQs).
I would like to know whether your antibody 25630002 against ALK recognizes the extracellular or intracellular portion of the protein. The website claims the immunogen is the middle domain, but it is unclear what this refers to.
The lab has informed me that they confirmed with the team who tested this antibody and this antibody recognises the extracellular portion of the protein.
The concentration calculator allows you to quickly calculate the volume, mass or concentration of your vial. Simply enter your mass, volume, or concentration values for your reagent and the calculator will determine the rest.
