Zygomatic Fractures are fractures that occur on the critical zygomatic facial bone. A zygomatic fracture typically occurs with a blow to the side of the face or in vehicle accidents. If diagnosed and treated with reconstructive surgery early after the injury is acquired, then the facial structure may not be disfigured for prolonged amounts of time. However if a zygomatic fracture is left untreated, permanent disfiguration may occur.
