Histoplasma is most commonly found in the Mississippi and Ohio River Valleys, but people that are infected rarely notice. Sometimes, Histoplasma Meningitis can develop in people exposed to Histoplasma. Even though being exposed to Histoplasma isn’t serious, Histoplasma Meningitis can be severe for some people.
