Coronary Microvascular Disease is caused when the small arteries of the heart do not expand properly during exercise; therefore, there is not suitable blood flow. The symptoms of Coronary Microvascular Disease include chest pain, shortness of breath, and fatigue. People with high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and diabetes are at risk for Coronary Microvascular Disease. Treatments for Coronary Microvascular Disease include Nitroglycerin and aspirin. More common in women, Coronary Artery Disease can lead to heart attack or heart failure.
