Embryonal cancer, also known as embryonal carcinoma, are cancers that originate from germ cells. They affect all ages in men, women, and children. If caught early, they have a good prognosis as many embryonal cancers respond well to chemotherapy. In men, the most common embryonal cancer is a testicular cancer and in women, it is most commonly in the form of dysgerminoma.
