Brain Stem Vertigo: Disease Bioinformatics

Brain stem vertigo is when a patient experiences vertigo, or a feeling of spinning, due to problems surrounding the brain stem. These problems could include blood vessel diseases, multiple sclerosis, strokes, and tumors. Vertigo could be the indication of a dangerous brain stem stroke, and other symptoms that may accompany this feeling include double vision, facial paralysis and weakness in the outer limbs. Treatments differ depending on the disorder that is causing the brain stem vertigo, and there exist medicines that work to help relieve the feeling of spinning and dizziness.
